... I hope that the Florida Orchestra Association chokes on their own bile.
We got straight superiors at festival.
STRAIGHT FUCKING SUPERIORS.
And the deuschbag assholes disqualified us.
You want to know why? There are three judges. Each "requires" an original score of music for each piece. We didn't have some, but we ordered it, and brought in the receipt along with a copy of the piece. But they were like, "Uhh. No. Sorry. BUT OMG YOUR ORCHESTRA WAS PHENOMENAL AND I HAVEN'T HEARD ONE LIKE IT IN EVAR!!1!!"

I am FUCKING PISSED OFF. We did not have one negative comment.

So we get back to the school, and she tells us, and I start crying ... more like, complete breakdown, I had to sit in order to stop my knees from buckling and goddamn my hands for shaking.

We worked our asses clean off. For a second-year orchestra to receive straight superiors—yeah, we kick ass. I want recognition for this group because it is FUCKING BULLSHIT ... I mean, in three years of high school, and this the only time my group has gotten superiors ...
GRR!!

FOA is total bullcrap. I say we send them sacks of hate mail considering no matter what we do, we won't be acknowledged for our performance.

We were completely amazing. This whole situation is ridiculous.

It almost seems like the entire year of freaking out and after school practices was a waste, until I remember that we are incredible. No matter what the Florida Orchestra Association has to say about it.

Damn yo that really sucks!

and yeah...FOA is the most disorganized organization (hows that for ironic) to exist.

remember when our chamber was disqualified our freshman year?

anyway, i wish i got a chance to hear ya :-(

Yeah, that was weird with the chamber. But ... i'm more outrage about this since I was in it.

about 50 people sent total hate mail
don't worry

i'm really upset, too
i haven't stopped crying [& it's 930]
my mom thinks i'm crazy

but orchestra is my LIFE

and nothing struck me as more BULLSHIT than this
